Government has launched Ehsaas Rashan Program, but people still don’t know what is it, and how to apply for it, who is eligible etc. Ehsaas Rashan is welfare-based program which is designed for the people who are low income families or suffering from crisis. People are suffering from poverty, in 2026 the inflation volume is growing like never before especially the war between Iran and US which has made suffer the whole world. Every state is trying to give reliefs to their citizen and they have made many plans to make life easier. In Pakistan Government of Pakistan has launched many projects and CMs of all the provinces also launched new programs, one of them is launched by the CM of Punjab Maryam Nawaz Sharif, its name is Ehsaas Rashaan Program.
What is Ehsaas Rashaan Program?
Ehsaas Roshan program is one of the projects launched by CM of Punjab for the lower middle class families and the families suffering from inflation to manage their food expenses, in this program they can get grocery on lower prices from the utility stores made by the government, but there are many things to be done before getting this relief, like eligibility criteria, and how to apply?]
What is Rashan Card?
There is a miss conception between Ehsaas Rashan Program and Ration Card, Rashan card is an other project of CM Punjab, which is designed for families of Punjab with low income, it has its own criteria and benefits you can read them on over post Ration Card.
How the Ehsaas Rashaan Program Works?
Government launches the subsidy then they verify the people fall in the criteria, then it is given to them by utility stores.
Who is Eligible & Who Can Apply for the Ehsaas Rashaan Program?
Eligibility
Government has established the program for the following people.
- Lower income family.
- Widows and divorced women.
- Disabled People, not able to work anymore.
- Families affected by the crises.
Conditions for Applying
- Should be A Pakistani citizen
- Having a valid CNIC, not expired.
- Should be in Ehsaas Ration database or in BISP database.
- Not getting any other government welfare program.
- Family registered in NADRA.
- Non Regular Tax payer.
Different Methods to Apply and Check Eligibility for the program.
There are two methods to check eligibility and apply for the Ehsaas Rashaan Program.
Method 1: Check Eligibility with your CNIC.
Message your CNIC number on the code 8123 and they will notify you weather you are eligible or not?
Note: Make sure to message from the sim registered on your phone.
Method 2: Check Eligibility using BISP database
Message your CNIC number on the code 8171 to get verified by the BISP portal, this code is specially for BISP but it is also used for ehsas ration program.
With these two methods you will be notified that you are eligible or not and your CNIC will be registered if you are eligible.
